About us: who we are and what we do 🎓

Virgil's Mathematics Coaching (VMC) is a maths coaching business from Trinidad and Tobago. All of our work is led by our main tutor, Mr. Virgil, who has a background in accounting and a Caribbean award in mathematics. He plans the lessons, sets the assignments and makes sure every child gets real, caring feedback. Our goal is simple: every child can be good at maths, and great help should never be expensive. Only a few hours a week can make a big difference.

How to sign up (2 minutes)

1. Tap Sign up for Super or Sign up for VIP above and fill in the short form. This signs your child up for the Free Playground Course (1 week FREE).

2. Add your name, your child's name and their Standard or Form, then tap send.

3. Tap Pay now and pay on our payment page, or WhatsApp Virgil if you prefer a bank transfer. Send us the receipt on WhatsApp. Once confirmed, we set up your child's account and send the login.

4. Your child logs in at firefly.vmcfirefly.com or on the free Moodle app and starts learning!

Finding your way around 🧭

1. Log in using the Log in link at the top of this page (or the Moodle app).

2. Open your course. Tap your plan (or the Free Playground Course while payment is being confirmed) under My courses.

3. Look at the top. Your child's name has its own section with their class record and writing board.

4. Scroll down to the Assignments sections to find the work for your child's level.

5. Open an assignment. Do the working on paper, take a clear photo, tap Add submission, upload it and tap Save changes.

6. Come back for feedback. The grade and comments appear on the assignment, and the Moodle app tells you when it is graded.

Tip: when your child scores 100%, that assignment disappears to keep things tidy. Stuck? WhatsApp us on +1 868 480-6963.

Parents: stay on top of your child's progress

Download the free Moodle app on your phone and log in with your child's login. You will see when your child does an assignment and when it gets graded, so you can cheer them on.

Chipley is our teenage half-squirrel, half-human sound effects star. She adds the whoosh, the ping and the cheers to our one-on-one classes, so maths feels fun!
